K. T. Oslin, Randy Goodrum, Wood Newton to receive Lifetime Achievement Awards from Arkansas Country Music Awards

K.T. Oslin, Randy Goodrum and Wood Newton will be celebrated next year with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Arkansas Country Music Awards.

“The three individuals being honored in 2024 are a fine mix of deserving Arkansans,” said country music journalist and historian Charles Haymes in a press release. “From a game-changing female vocalist to two very accomplished songwriters, this is another wonderful class of very deserving recipients.”

The trio will join the ranks of previous Lifetime Achievement Award recipients that include Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Patsy Montana, the Browns and others.

Peter Friestedt & Randy Goodrum

I’m proud to announce the release of a new single that I co-wrote with my friends and colleagues, Peter Fristedt and Tomi Malm for the new CWF project release. Though I’m written with Peter and Tomi separately in the past this is the first time we combined our efforts.

View the release on CWF’s website by clicking here.

Additionally, I’m thrilled to announce the news that my old and dear friend, Steve Lukather is releasing a new solo record, Bridges.

I’ve known and written with Steve for decades, including several songs that Toto recorded (I’ll Be Over You, Anna, These Chains, etc.), along with several that appear on earlier solo projects of Steve’s.

On Steve’s new record we wrote All Forever’s Must End and I’m honored to be included in this wonderful project.

I am thrilled to announce my single, "Forever," released today!

Since I began writing songs in the fall of 1965, I’ve written hundreds of songs -- some of which have been recorded, and a few which made the charts! Like any songwriter, I have some tunes that are on my list of favorites; “Forever” is one of those tunes. I wrote this one in 1974 or so, and I decided it was time to update it and release it for others to hear.

This release features the amazing efforts of Larry Williams (saxophone), Gary Hedden (mastering), and Jay McDonald (cover photograph).

I hope you will enjoy this one—have a listen!

I’m thrilled to announce the worldwide release, on P-Vine Records, of two projects I participated in by a group comprised of me and two of my good friends and amazing colleagues, Bruce Gaitsch and Dave Innis. We are the group, GIG, (Gaitsch, Innis, Goodrum).

Brave New World was our maiden project which established our unique style of writing and performing. Our second and recently completed project is Wisdom and Madness.

On both projects we worked with amazing, world-class musicians and have our best efforts in songwriting, storytelling, performing and singing.

Here are some links to the projects for streaming, downloads, and CDs. Hop on board for our musical journey!
