JaR Scene 29, Episode 1-10

JARZoneA few years ago I got together with Jay Graydon, my writing partner on songs like “Who’s Holding Donna Now” and “Lost Without Her Love” for El DeBarge, “Pleasure Over Pain” for Al Jarreau, “Haunting Me” for Dave Grusin and many others to record our own record, SCENE 29.

As a recording duo, we go by the band name, JaR and will release our second album in the new year. We taped a series of video interviews during the recording of SCENE 29 and decided to release some of the outtakes as “get to know us” clips. These episodes are up online for anyone wondering about the story of JaR and to provide a deeper dive into the songs and the making of the record.

Debut Single ”Disconnect Me”

disconnectmeSwedish record label Dudes of Mayhem is making its first release on October 28th, 2016: Go Double Vision and their super cool debut single ”Disconnect me”.

The Swedish/American duo, consisting of Lars Söderberg and Randy Goodrum, got together in 2011 and immediately hit it off in the studio. The main goal from the start was writing for other artists/bands, this eventually changed during the coming years and in 2015 Go Double Vision saw the light of day.

The song ”Disconnect me” was written after a long day of travelling with the flu and coping with cancelled flights, snow storms and moldy vending machine food. Frustration turned in to a cool song about the need to disconnect, go out in to the wild and return to the pre social media era. If you’re in to stuff like Beck, Daft Punk and lowfi you’ll love this!

Song written by Go Double Vision and Adam Salomon. Recorded, produced and mix by band member Lars Söderberg, mastered by Stefan Aronsson (Hellsongs, BLKMGK)
